Paper Recycling Boom

Whether in worldwide food service or in hospitality industry, the waste of paper production can be seen everywhere. The usage rate is decreasing and in the result, more and more paper tissue, toilet paper and towels offered in public area are wasted. Recycling of paper materials and wood resources is becoming critical to solve the problem.

What is Recycled Paper?

According to Wikipedia, recycled paper material is called “scrap paper”, and it comes from three different sources: mill broke, pre-consumer waste, and post-consumer waste. Mill broke is paper trimmings and other paper scrap from the manufacture of paper, pre-consumer waste is material which left the paper mill but was discarded before it was ready for consumer use, and post-consumer waste is material discarded after use. Scrap paper is often use to produce new paper products, such as books, newspaper, paper bags and cardboard boxes.

Although recycled paper materials can be a great way to reduce the abuse of wood resources, they are not safe for use as ‘renewable paper’. Recycled materials containes harmful toxins and pollutants that comes from printed newspaper, coarse paper and plastic coated paper. These paper has to go through deinking and straining process (requiring chemical reagent) to gets the coat and ink removed.  That is why recycled tissue paper is not suggested to be used for personal hygiene care products like paper tissue, towels and napkins. Well…We can utilize recycled paper materials to make tissue paper if clients require so, but we don’t recommend paper products made from recycled paper material.  Instead, we suggest 100% recyclable virgin wood paper tissue! It is made from high quality, unbleached, unrefined wood pulp which is free from any added chemicals or dyes. This makes it more environmentally friendly than other types of paper tissue, as it does not contain any harmful substances that could be released into the environment. Additionally, it is more absorbent than other types of tissue, making it ideal for wiping up spills and cleaning surfaces. Most importantly, it only takes a few week to dissolve wood paper in nature. So it’s 100% recyclable and compostable.
